This section will make available information on the annual monitoring reports to be produced by CEAM and approved by CAM. The first annual report will be published in 2019, in respect to the monitoring of the listed companies’ corporate governance reports concerning 2018, the first year of entry into force of the IPCG Corporate Governance Code 2018.
The Annual Monitoring Report hereby presented is the third one prepared under the new monitoring system introduced with the Corporate Governance Code of the Portuguese Corporate Governance Institute, initially approved in 2018. It is, however, the first monitoring report of the CGS as revised in 2020.
The Annual Monitoring Report of the IPCG 2018 Corporate Governance Code with regard to 2019, finalized by the Executive Monitoring Committee (CEAM), in October 2020, was approved by Accompaniment Accompanimentand Monitoring Committee (CAM) at a meeting on November 6, 2020.
The Commission for the Accompaniment and Monitoring (CAM) of the Corporate Governance Code is a result of the Portuguese Corporate Governance Institute’s commitment to the creation of a system that promotes knowledge of the Code by all relevant national and international agents in the capital market, the accompaniment of the monitoring activities, including the writing of the annual monitoring report, and the preparation of future revision work in light of the monitoring outcomes, legislative amendments and the international dynamics of evolution in corporate governance best practices.
